Institute for Development (IfD) provides high quality qualitative and mixed methods research training and consultancy to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Government and Businesses in Sierra Leone.

Qualitative and Mixed methods research

At IfD, we specialise in qualitative and mixed methods research to meet diverse objectives. From comprehensive needs assessments to formative and summative evaluations, as well as exploratory research and deep dives. Our approach provides invaluable information and insights for our clients.

Action research and supportive for adaptive programming

We have extensive experience in supporting our clients with action research and adaptive programming. Our approach goes beyond traditional mid or end-term evaluations, as we believe in enabling continuous learning and responsiveness throughout project delivery. At IfD, we offer specialised technical assistance services aimed at enhancing development outcomes. From the development of public health and education policies and strategies to the formulation of sexual and gender-based violence prevention and redress strategies, we are committed to supporting decision-makers in understanding what works best for sectors or communities they are intervening in.
